Curfew hours on Bunkprugu renewed – Ambrose Dery

The Minister of the Interior has on the advice of the Northern Regional Security Council and by Executive Instrument renewed the curfew hours imposed on Bunkprugu Township from 20:00 hours to06:00 hours effective July 31.

A statement issued and signed by Mr Ambrose Dery, the sector Minister in Accra and copied to the Ghana News Agency said all persons in Bunkprugu and surrounding communities have also been banned from carrying arms, ammunitions or offensive weapons.

The statement further stated that “any person found with any arms or ammunition will be arrested and prosecuted”.

It also urged chiefs, opinion leaders and the youth to exercise restraints in the face of challenges confronting them and appealed to them to use non-violent means to ensure peace in the area.
